By the time it arrives, the hardware to do it justice will be available.
If it had been released during June last year (as I believe was originally
planned), most people still had 486-66. I think people are kidding
themselves if they think they're going to run the game properly on
a low end 486. However, today most people see Pentium 75 as being entry
level, with an increasing number of people having P133 or faster.
Just the right hardware for running the game. Of course, as PC technology
improves and becomes cheaper to buy, you can just turn up the detail
levels to make use of the extra hardware (just as you can with F1GP).
I'm pleased to wait longer for the sequal to my favourite simulation.
Do what I did, forget Grand Prix 2 until it is released. In the meantime,
go back to F1GP/World Circuit, join the Hall of Fame, compete in one
of the on-line championships, use the wide array of editors and patches
to update the game to simulate the 1996 championship, and have fun!
