Advertising and selling are two different things - did you try contacting
them to order a copy? I think not...

I've seen a couple of ads here in UK magazines claiming they have it, but it
is not released yet.

Just been told by a friend who was in GAME store in Belfast and they
are stating that GP2 has been set back to end of April. I think that I
am just about fed up with all this crap..If this game is anything less
than 100%, I think Microprose are in for a really hard time.

Bye for now.....K.Barrow

I have a magazine, and they are advertising F1GP2 already, and I
expect it to come out in maybe a week or two.

So a delivery date that WE invented has slipped by and so we're gonna
flame Microprose and Geoff for it?

I'm a bit pissed off that they're being so quiet about the release of
this, but we can't flame them for not meeting a date they never
committed. Go moan at GAME for telling you the wrong date.

> Go moan at GAME for telling you the wrong date.

Indeed ! I used to work for a well known high street computer software
retailer (who shall remain nameless...) and the release dates we used
to get from head office were generally pure fantasy (as were the game
charts - but that's another story :). In early 1994 a Microprose rep
told me that he expected GP2 by the end of the year ! They are kept as
much in the dark as the rest of us. If only Microprose would tell us
why it is so late - but then again, pigs might fly :)

I wrote last week that there was already an add in the Dutch paper.
This was true. Dut the game isn't out yet. The company which placed
the add expected the game at the end of this month.
Demo's are already availibel at the microprose homepage (I forgot the
adress, but I thought it was http://www.microprose.com). There are
also many websides which are totaly based on F1GP2 with the latest
info. Just do an seach on F1GP2 on Yahoo, webcrawler or on one of the
other seach programs.
