    Yesterday I contacted Electronics Boutique (where I had an
outstanding order for the product I am about to mention) and was told
by the sales representative there that "ROAD TO THE INDIANAPOLIS 500"
by ABC Interactive has now been postponed on the release date until
-------get this --------- January 1998!!!     WHAT GIVES??
     If the product has THAT many bugs that they can't get their s__t
together after telling the world of at least three release dates
already, then perhaps it shouldn't be bought at all!!  Kind of makes
me wonder if perhaps ABC should stick to Broadcasting the 500 and let
the computer people make the simulations worth having!!

     Just for your information --  If anyone has any different
information  let me know -------- Please!!!

Also ---------  I have INDYCAR RACING 1  and   2  and have a disk of
the Indianapolis 500 track that is SUPPOSED to be unzipped and loaded
into the directory and all that other good stuff that you computer
wizards laughingly do in your sleep each day.  HOWEVER  I do not know
how to get this loaded into ICR 1  without it locking up the entire
simulation and my requiring my deleting it out and rebooting and
starting from scratch only to find the same thing happen again!!
     COULD SOMEONE PLEASE BE SO KIND AS TO SEND ME THRU E-MAIL, very
detailed directions as to how to load this INDIANAPOLIS 500 track into
my INDYCAR 1 simulation?  it is the copy from egghead and looks to be
a first rate update to the track -- if only I knew how to get the
damned thing to work!!  
     YOU KNOW, ALL THIS COULD BE ALLEVIATED IF PAPYRUS WOULD JUST
MERELY PRODUCE THE CD ROM OF THE TRACK AS THE UPDATE AS THEY DID A FEW
YEARS AGO.  EITHER THAT --- OR GIVE US A WAY TO LET US LOAD COPIES FOR
OUR OWN USE FOR OUR OWN ENJOYMENT!!  I really don't like to be a pawn
in some corporate war and won't stand for it.  If I can get this copy
to work then fine, and I will keep it for future reference if I need
it.  They produced the track for the general public nd now the general
public wants to use it -- so we shall !

Is the really in fact the IMS track pack with paintkit for ICR1?  Or is
The Indianapolis 500 the Simulation?  If the latter you have the
original stand-along program from Papyrus and not the track update for
ICR1.
