Posted on alt.binaries.simulators.autos I thought a few of you would
like to see these pics of a 1967 Brabham BT 24 F2 car. This weekend was
the 12th annual Pacific Northwest Historic races at Seattle
International Raceway.Lots of great cars and races, but I figured this
would interest most of you GPL'ers. These are all 1024x768 hi-res shots,I
hope you like them.
BTW The driver is John Dimmer of Tacoma,Wa. He drove this car excellent!

Nice pictures. Surprising to see a V8 in an F2 car; no wonder there was room
for the Repco in the F1 model.  The shot of the car with the driver in it
really shows just how small this car is.

Great shots Dave. Thanks for taking the time to post them for all the unfortunate souls that were unable to attend. I've
been a huge fan of the cars from that era since as long as I can remember, but have never been lucky enough to spend any
time in the presence of one. Looks like you had a great time. Aaahhhhhh...someday my ship will come...

I have a terrible memory. In fact it's so bad that I can't remember how long it's been since I've forgotten anything.

But the F1 model WAS the F2 model! (If you know what  mean. That was exactly
what Tauranac decided to do.....use what was essentially an F2 chassis
design for the F1 car.)

I think the car you are referring to is the 2.5 litre BT23A Tasman series
car if it was from '67. The F2 cars in '67 were the BT23 and BT23C, both
with a Cosworth FVA engine (4 cylinder). The BT19 also was used in the
Tasman series with a 2.5 V8. Unfortunately I can't get the binaries.sim to
download so I can't tell you exactly. You are right in thinking that the
BT24 was derived from the F2 and Tasman cars. A slightly larger engine bay
was the main difference in the chassis dept.

Hi Dave,

Trying to build a better Bogner are you? Good luck. I'm a guitar player
and had to check out the amp pics. Your car pics were great. I especially
like the Lola T162. I love those CanAm cars, simply a gorgeous machine!

Great pics on the website Dave! The car is a BT24-2 with the Repco 740
engine, and of the type that scored a Brabham one-two in France in '67
