I share your pain, brother...EXACTLY.
My problem is, however, that HUNGARY is
not the ONLY frustrating corner in my life.

I too spent ages being frustrated over this one.
In F1GP this was a flat out 6th before braking for the right hander at
the top of the hill.  I found the only way was to shift down into 5th
to take this left handed kink.
Has anyone found a setup that'll let you take this flat.

Well, after calming down I found a GREAT setup, extracted from a certain
HOTLAP I have of hungary.
I dont remember exactly where I found it, but I have included it in this
message. Its great. I can take almost every corner at full speed.
But it is FAR from perfect. The plank rubs along the ground at any speed
over 220 KPH!
USE THIS ONLY FOR QUALIFYING.
In race condition it will wear down your tires faster than sulphuric
acid. (and you will get in trouble because of the plank)

Try a more neutral set-up. I've seen some superb times posted by
people who have extreme set-ups like yours, but they are better
drivers than me <g>. I find that I am more consistent with maybe a
touch of understeer, but if you go too far that way, you can make
things just as bad (i.e. you might actually be suffering from too much
understeer - when the front wheels finally grip you can find the rear
going loose due to the sudden change)

Also - very important - don't try racing round Hungary with lots of
packers. I tried it for a long time and was only able to get around
that corner after removing all the packers. I now go through that
corner in 5th in qualifying and 4th or 5th in a race. I think I could
probably get round in 6th if I wasn't too bothered about the result!

Cheers,
Richard

And these are supposed to be FUN!

Mike   -this message has been altered from it's original format to keep
my kids from reading it and asking me what all those colorful words
mean.

Sorry if this repeats any previous ideas...
Do you have the autosteer "OFF"?
Does this happen at all speeds(within reason)?
I'll try mine at home tonight and see what happens..
But you will need to be more specific (sorry if this forces you to
repeat yourself from previous posts)
rgs
John.
ps...you obviously had a finger failure during your 4th line - we all
know what you really meant to say ;-)

Just a remember!!

- THIS IS A SIMULATION
- THE FUN WITH A GP SIMULATION IS THE TOUCHY DRIVING AND THE DIFFICULTY
TO HAVE A WELL BALANCED CAR
- HOW MUCH TIMES WE HEARD THE COMPLAINTS OF DRIVERS ABOUT A NOT
WELL-BALANCED CAR
- THAT'S LIFE, THAT'S RACING
- IF YOU DON'T HAVE FUN WITH IT, BUY A RAILROAD SIM...THERE'S NO
OVERSTEER & UNDERSTEER!!!
