I used to race Nascar sims some time ago. Still have Thrustmaster FF
wheeel. Good, solid wheel. No spikes yet. But, I feel like to try something
else. For no more than 200$.
Before Thrustmaster I had old Logitech FF red wheel. Excellent FF,
but pedals are real crap. If MOMO's pedals aren't a major improvement, I
won't bother with it. As I understood, the new Thrustmaster F1 isn't
something. I think I saw somewhere in my town, MS Sidewinder FF really
cheap. I think I could try it. Digital steering pots, and supposedly really
good pedals should be better than what I have now. Am I right? Is there
anything other, worth considerating, on the market?
BTW, IIRC Papy lost licence for Nascar sims. What is Papy planing
next?

        TIA

Microsoft is discontinuing their hardware, no more wheels and no more
support.   So the price is good right now as stores clear them out.  Pedals
have gotten very few complaints here, although the MS wheels do seem to be
framerate killers.
Papy is Papy, they don't really say what they are up to.  We have
gotten snippets about cross platform products..i.e. stuff for consoles and
pc's and I think they will not focus on a true simulator but something in
the vein of the more popular console drivers out this past year or so like
GTA which has a plot or story built around a driving game.  But who knows?
until Papy makes an official announcement, we are in the dark.

        Thanks very much, Dave.
I knew that MS wheels were framekillers, but I thought that this
isn't that much with today's fast machines. I presume that inpact on frames
could be less on today's computers. I'll give it a try. They can be find
cheaply, these days and, if there isn't anything better than this, I'll try
it. Maybe I'll like it more than Thrustmaster which I have today. My frames
rarely drop bellow 36, and usualy are somewhere around 50. Which is
excellent, for me. In old days I used to drive with a lot worse than that,
lol. I wouldn't mind if they drop 10%. -- Mario
