4-Driver Info
4.1-When signing up please include: a)REAL first and last name,
b)Driving level, c)Team name(preferably make-believe),
d)Engine name, e)whether you'll have a team mate or not,
f)Country(If outside US), g)email address, and h)a some
info about yourself so we'll know who we're competing
against.
4.2-Sign-up deadline: Even though late comers are welcome, I ask
that you submit the above information by January 1, 1995
so I can create a mailing list.
4.3-Car Numbers: To avoid the hassle over car numbers, after you
have submitted all of 4.1, you will be assigned a car
number. Drivers who compete on two levels will have the
same number in both levels.
4.4-Teams: Drivers are encouraged to form teams. Teams may
consist of no more than two cars per level. If you'd like
a teammate, either post a note publically, or send
me a note and I'll send it on to other one-driver teams.
5-Results
5.1-Practice: Drivers may practice as much or as little as they
choose. There will be a 'Fast Laps' competition. Each
driver can send their best practice lap, within the rules
of their division, to be entered into the FastLap
Championship(See 6.3). Laps MUST be run on D tyres and
must be turned in by midnight ET, Fridays. Submit time and
GPLap Authentication code(See rule 8).
5.2-Race Results: Start your race in 26th. For wet races ran in
'Quick Race' mode, DON'T PRESS ESCAPE AFTER YOU FINISH
YOUR
RACE!!! You must wait until "Race Over" appears on the
screen. Otherwise, you will loose your times.
5.2.1-What to send: Send your race time, fast lap, car #,
team-engine name, email address, real name, and
GPLAP Authentication code of your fastest lap(See
rule 8) to LF3...@aol.com. If you do not win your
race, add the winner's time and the time your were
behind, and post ONLY the added time. If you do
not finish on the lead lap, post how many laps
completed(NOT WHAT LAP YOU WERE ON!). If you do
not finish, post how many laps you COMPLETED(not what
lap you were on).
5.2.2-How Results are figured: Results will be figured by
time, the fastest time winning.
5.3-Late Results: Late results will be taken, but they
will receive NO championship points, except in case of
director error. NO OTHER EXCUSE WILL CHANGE
THIS!!!
5.4-When to expect results: Results should be posted
within 24 hours of the deadline unless otherwise stated.
However, results may be posted late due to things
outside my control.

6.3.1-How it works: The fast practice and race laps for
each driver at every track will be entered into
the FASTLAP Record Keeper written by Pedro Sander (It
can be found in the Simulation Auto Library). In
this program, points are given to each driver
based on their lap time, the faster lap getting more
points. The driver accumulating the most points
during the season will win the FastLap title.
There will separate competitions for each level.
7-Driving
7.1-Rules of the road: Drivers MUST go through every turn.
Skipping chicanes or any other turn in an effort to gain
time is strictly illegal, and warrants a 20 second
penalty. If, however, your are FORCED to miss a turn(i.e.
being hit by another car, braked to late), no action will be
taken.
7.2-Restarts
7.2.1-Dry Races: Drivers may use 'Quick Race' mode to do
any practice starts or races. But once the
'Non-Champ' Race is started, they must turn in

races in wet conditions. The 6th start must be
turned in for results.

8.1.1-Logs: DO NOT SEND YOUR LOG unless your are asked
to.
8.1.2-Authentication Codes: Send the authentication code
for your fastest lap with tour results, practice
and race.
9-Questions: If you have questions, comments, and suggestions, send them
to DE3...@aol.com. This is a drivers' series and all input is very
welcome.
10-Rule Changes: These rules may, and will, change for the better of the
series. All changes are effective immediately after being
announced unless otherwise stated.
11-Most Importantly: The most important thing for LF3000 is that your
have fun. This is just a friendly competition of drivers
across the world. There is no prize for winning the
championship, except gradification and fun. I hope everyone
will be good sports and enjoy themselves.
