TIR: Car accelerates when I turn wheel to extreme!!

Interesting title after the physics adjustments are applied.

One bizarre situation that I would like to see if anyone else is
experiencing: the car accelerates as the wheel is turned to either extreme
(i.e., it progressively applies the throttle).  I have the new MOMO wheel
with split axis and all the control and axes in the game seem to be set
correctly.  I certainly get proper gas and brake and steering except for
this weird situation.  So when you let off the gas to go into a corner, if
it is a slow sharp corner, you get gas being applied whether you want it or
not (I don't!!!).

Try this on yours--you may not have noticed it.  Of course, you can just
stop the car, put it in first gear and then turn the wheel without touching
the gas pedal and see what happens.  I hope it isn't some pathetic
console/gamepad hold-over, like the menu system seems to be.  When you turn
off all the aids and strip all the physics back to the default settings (see
the High Gear forum for details), the cars actually feel quite good.

but you can adjust the steering sensitivity!! if you check the high gear
forums there is a new one for TIR with plenty of tips and file edits for
physics and controls, this game is now starting to feel like it was
supposed to do (WSC?!!)

Did you remove the deadzones and adjust the steering rates in the
config.cfg file?

I must admit when I first played this game I was very dissappointed.  But
after applying the tweaks for the steering, physics, and sound, it is a
blast. The graphics are awsome at  1600x1200 32-bit.  The AI is fairly slow
and FF doesn't work on my old LWFF but a patch should fix that. It's no
"sim" but still very fun.
