Thrustmaster T2 assistance please

by pinkh.. » Wed, 29 Dec 1999 04:00:00

I need an installation disk for the T2.

I can't find it on any websites to download. (even Thrustmaster)
I got a new computer, and have no idea what I did with the old disk.
Probably went with the old computer stuff.
And I want to use the T2 for DTR..
I'll gladly send a postage paid disk envelope and will return it
immediately.
Or if it is something that could be attached to an email, that would be
even better.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can't find it because there is no such thing.  It doesn't need an
installation disk, it is nothing more than a plain old joystick shaped like
a steering wheel and pedals.  Plug it into your soundcard or gameport or
whatever you have, calibrate it in Control Panel, and that's all there is to
it.

There was some kind of TMScope utility or something that came with it (I
think) but that's not necessary, either.

Just go to game controllers and select add, choose Thrustmaster Formula
T1/T2 with adapter.

There WAS no installation disk.  Depending on your T2, if it's one of the
oldest one, it hooks up like a T1 (steering is X1, pedals are X2) meaning
you install it as T1/T2 Without Adapter (unless you plug in the white
adapter of course).  The later T2's are wired like they always have the
adapter (steering is X1, pedals are Y1)

there is a download called thrustmaster pro panel out there somewhere, designed for
detecting and calibrating your thrustmaster products

You don't need any disk to get your T2 working.

Its just the same as any other joystick, gamepad or wheel and pedals?
Plug it into your soundcard gameport (or gamecard) and configure the
wheel in control panel, and away you go!!!

There is a Thrustmaster "Pro Panel" program, but you do not need it as
it merely imitates the game controllesr icon in control panel, but if
you want it check out the Thrustmaster wensite...

Hmm, what do you need a disk for? Just use the custom
controller, give it two axis and four buttons, and off you go.

Cheers,
