Went into Woolies in Kidderminster today:

Grand Prix Legends: UKP 29.99

Castrol Honda Superbike 2000: UKP 4.99

What *are* these people doing?

Woolworth's aren't the only ones selling Grand Prix Legends at 29.99. My
local HMV store are doing the same. Just across the street, however,
Electronic Boutiques are selling it for just 14.99.

At another time, HMV were selling Descent 3 for 4.99 and Electronic
Boutiques were still selling it for 19.99.

The lesson here is to make sure you search a little bit before purchasing,
but if you do get caught out remember that, as long as you have the receipt,
you should be able to return it.

Office depot in Kamloops B.C. has GPL selling for $59.99 and beside it on
the same shelf is NASCAR Racing 1999 edition for $19.99!!! When I told the
sales clerk that GPL had been reduced as well as NR99 he just said that if I
could find GPL anywhere else for $19.99 I should tell him and then I could
get it for that price. When I told him that if I found it elsewhere for
$19.99 I wouldn't be coming back ... well, he didn't know what to say to
that. Unfortunately I still couldn't get it for $19.99 so I am still looking
and waiting.

I noticed in Computer Shopper that Gameplay were selling GPL for 9.99 .
Amazing . In PC World even a Scrabble game was selling for 29.99 recently .
Can't be too hard coding the physics engine for that . F1-2000 is now down
to 19.99 .

Still overpriced - most places charge 9.99 for it.

Robin.

Check out http://www.dragon.ca/. They have it for 23.95 Cdn.  You should be able
to print off the page with the price and Depot should give you that price. Saves
the shipping and its easier to return (return it..never!).  That's if you still
want to give Depot your business.

I just bought GPL a few months ago through a local computer store. They had to
order it in but it was about the same or cheaper than Dragon or on-line through
Sierra.

Thanks Ken,
Problem is I was only visiting my Dad for the Father's day weekend and hoped
to pick it up for myself before I left for the wilds of western Alberta. No
such luck and my only local little friendly computer shop here tried but
said none of their suppliers were handling that title (I do trust these guys
to tell the truth 'cause I have done some troubleshooting work for them
*** on the side). I may just go ahead and order from the site you
mentioned though... as long as I can get it past the "Head of Purchasing"
(Wife) here at home.
