NFS3, three things that would make it more of a simulator

1. Copy the steering implementation of ICR1, ICR2, GP1, GP2 or F1RS,
thus getting rid of the dead spot in the center.
2. Make the non-track areas (grass, sand, snow) much more realistic, for
example slippery and add drag for the sand.
3.***pit view, as in GP2, ICR2, N2 and F1RS, for athmosphere and
fooling the brain to actually think it's in a car :o).

If the first suggestion is "in the game" :o), I would play NFS much
more. I played GP2 with wheel and pedals for about 800 hours, the 500
last hours without any helps or aids at all.

Oops, this one shouldn't have gone to this NG, yet :o). This was just an
outline.

Anyhow, I'm actually a very serious sim racer, but I also really enjoy NFS2SE.
The sound is great, I especially like the Lotus GT1 sound, and I also enjoy the
different behaviour of the cars. I of course drive in simulation mode with
manual gear. The trouble is when I get back to GP2 it takes time for me to
adjust to the much more accurate and sensitive steering, which rightfully is
found in any racing sim worth the name. So I would really love it if they got
the steering fixed in NFS3 or NFS4, I can wait :o). I'd love a***pit view also
:o), and more realistic off track behaviour, but if I have to choose - the
steering, get rid of the center dead spot. I've used Thrustmasters Propanel to
get the correct driver for my wheel. Works fine in F1RS, but there's still a
large dead spot in the center in NFS2SE.

You _can_ adjust the sensitivity

<<Phoenix>>
It is not Id, ID, iD, or anything with periods
IT IS: id (2 lowercase letters & rhymes with "did")

Thank you, Robin, but I've tried that, and I have it currently set to max
sensitivity. The problem is that the steering is to non-linear for me, with to
little sensitivity in the middle and to much sensitivity in the ends. I prefer a
more linear steering. I guess this is personal, so why not allow the user to
choose or even set the linearity herself? I'm lapping below 2:10 at Northern
Europe in simulation mode, manual gears, in my favourite sounding Lotus GP1 :o),
but I only have 10 or 20 hours in NFS2SE, not 800 as in GP2 :o).
