Hello
Most of the messages in this group from what seems to be from me really aren't.
I must have hurt someones feelings here and this is their revenge. So far, all
of the postings that are from the name Yanno instead of Chris Zimbabwe are his.
You would know this if you compared the headers. Anyway, I'm very happy this
person is going to all this trouble to get me into trouble. It shows I pissed
him off pretty good. I'm sure he deserved it. Keep em coming, "Yanno".

Actually, I think I just figured out who's doing it. I took a look at some of
Toothpastes posts and he has the same Zippo stuff in his headers. Hmmm...
Also, I'm sure you've seen his posts saying that "Chris Zimbabwe is an ***"
and stuff like that. Hmmm... Anyway, whoever's complaining to my sysop, check
this out before you write to him again. I guess it's no good to post your
email address here. What a pity.

I can verify what Chris states here. I did ask his postmaster to check
and see if some of these posts are legit. I am including the
postmaster's reply along with one of the bogus headers:

local NNTP server. We use a shared server on another system. The messages
from him seem to be forged. You may want to spread the word.

This battle has moved on to email now, it seems, and I've become
an innocent victim of attack. And I haven't even been reading any
of the flame threads -- let alone posting to them.

The mail bombs and mailing-list subscribe messages were sent from
power.net. The message-ids of some of them have been sent to the
postmaster at that site. We'll see what happens. I also got an
email message from Mark Fields which quoted something I never wrote,
so the person apparently emailed him under my name as well.

Oddly, the bombs just called me a "newbie" and told me to stop
whining. blinkblink Where've I been whining? And if someone
who's been on the net 11 years is a newbie, I'd like to know what
this joker thinks a veteran is.

Anyway, if this new information helps you guys out any, that's
excellent. I think maybe this guy who's been forging posts
using a WWW posting site got a little too used to the anonymity
of the web and made a fatal mistake by using email.

Hopefully the admins at power.net will see the abuse actually
did occur and will take appropriate steps.

Additional: It turns out that the forged address on the mailbombs
I was received were that of one of Mark's other accounts (which has
sadly confused him as I now have sent him two emails -- one in baffled
response to the bombs, confirming that he was not the sender, and
another in response to his reply to the email he received with my
address forged on it claiming not to know what's going on but that
I had been bombed)...

Hmm, on second thought, those two mails should fit in with each other
nicely, but it seems ol' Mark's a mite paranoid and now thinks I'm the
one going after him since my address matches the email he got last
night -- the one with my address forged on it. I'm trying to help him
understand how to see past forgeries, but at this point he might not
listen, as he thinks I'm now after him. Ah well. So much for being
a good samaritan.

He's exactly right, I did get the forged Email, that's why I'm asking for help.
If anyone can help me, please do it! =()
