GP2 - Pit to Car Radio?

The old IBM mainframe "upgrade" trick was to send along an engineer
who would do the equivalent of throwing a switch to give an extra 25%
processing power.

Could it be that most of the potential patch features are already
implemented, but possibly just not tested and debugged to GC's
satisfaction?

GP2 - Pit to Car Radio?

Hello all,

First of all, brilliant sim. Congratulations to all who worked on it.
Enough said - I'm sure others will put it much better than I can.

I was digging around in the CDROM\gp2\sound\ directory, listening to the
WAV files and hoping to rip some samples.  I opened up SAMPLE.CAT in
CoolEdit, and guess what?  All the regular samples are in there (gear
change, engine etc) - no big surprise.  However, there is also loads of
pit to car speech - "Fuel, fuel!", "Oil on the track!", "Pole position!",
and so on, in English, French, German, Dutch, Italian and Spanish.

Have I missed some configuration option, or were these planned but just
not make it into the sim?  Can Gabriel from SH/MPS (or maybe John Wallace)
shed some light on this?

James
