GP2: hotlaps times

I would like to suggest that people make a point of identifying their
control method when posting fastlap times.  There is clearly a huge
gap between wheel and keyboard users (and everything in be tween).
Personally, I've started using the T2 and I'm quite slow. I would like
to 'compete' with other wheel users times, but it is difficult to know
which are which.  Perhaps those who plan to run HotLap Web pages can
implement this distinction?

>There is clearly a huge gap between wheel and keyboard users

          ^^^^^^^

We had this same debate with F1GP. It may or may not be true but there
was NEVER any CLEAR evidence to support this assertion.

This information is being collected for lap times submitted to HOF2,
and will probably be presented as part of the lap time listings in the
future (at the risk of adding to the stupid "keyboard users are
cheats!" versus "wheel users need to get a life" religious war).

Same goes for setups. F.i., my setups are optimized (sorta.. ;) for
analog steering and braking, but digital (on/off) acceleration.
Therefore, my first gear is never shorter than 30/64, which gives less
wheelspin in thight corners. If I had pedals, I would certainly change
that in favor of better performance. On the other hand, fast setups
for keyboard steering w/ steering help are next to impossible to use
with a joystick.
