I have a 2000 Jeep TJ that I had a 3 inch BDS Lift installed. I have a
problem that I don't understand. When the front end goes down on a mild
stop one of the exhaust pipes that is closest to the front differential yoke
is being hit by the yoke while it is spinning. It looks like before the
lift was put in, the yoke would have been above the pipe and would cause no
problem but now the yoke is below the pipe and it hits it. I looked for
something out of place under the vehicle but I don't see anything. Is this
normal for the lift kit and this year and the people that installed it did
not tell me or what.

The way I understand it from their site, when installing this lift, one
either has to lower the transfer case and keep the original ground clearance
or put in a "slip yoke eliminator" and gain some.

I'm assuming you had it done for cosmetic purposes and thus the former is
the case. It could be it's just a problem with your particular model or one
which got overlooked when they decided to sell the kit without the "slip
yoke eliminator".

If it's minor I would suggest checking if there's enough leeway<sp?> in the
exhaust mountings to move the pipe away sufficiently without it then
ratlling against the bodywork or, if all else fails, backing up the exhaust
with something and just hammering a dent in the pipe so it clears the yoke
(perhaps unscrewing the manifold from the block to make sure nothing cracks
there, but you would need to fit new exhaust gaskets if you did).
