F1GP 2 - coming soon

For a very long time I have heard no rumours about the existance of F1GP 2,
until yesterday (28 May).  I had a quick flick through Amiga Power, and saw a
news article concerning F1GP 2.  It stated that F1GP 2 was still in production
and would be finished soon - but the source was not a 'concrete' one.  That
rumour may of course come from the net, but on the other hand, it may not have
done.

well, talk about F1GP-2 was low on the net - so it is unlikely to be a
net->magazine->net rumour .

F1GP-2?/ what could they do? different teams/colours. AGA only? 020 and
above only? an editor (ala F1GPED1.01 ??) i dunno, it just sounds
starnge to me!

maybe a ray-traced intro for the CD32?? :)

"Apparently", Microprose will not be rushing out an AGA version of F1GP for the
CD32, they have decided to wait until F1GP 2 is finished.

They could do alot more:

AGA versions
1994/1995 season
Easier to damage your car
Other ways to damage your car - other that front/rear wing
Mechanical Failures
Injuries
Team Management
More setup options
Better sound
Make the other cars faster
Intelligent AI!

and even more probably.

If a F1GP 2 is truely on the way, the most likely time for the game to be sold will be at the end of this season.
The reason for this is that there is being a lot of changes to the circuits for security reasons (i.e. Silverstone
is about to be changed). The cars have also been changed (no computer-systems), and there isn't such a big difference
between the cars anymore. But the main reason for Micropose to wait, is that it will be the best time to release the
game. People are usually most interested in F1 during the end of the season.

So let's just hope F1GP 2 will be as good as #1. :) :)
