Hi: GP2
How can I choose the different types of existing tyres (A,B,C,D)? Or
does it the comp for me?
What can I do to hear the voices from the pit included in the file
sample.cat DURING the game?
Thanks

As with the voices, this is totally my opinion, and I probably have
several friends at r.a.s. who might back me up. Okay, here goes: Geoff
Crammond, knowing the game would be hacked, patched, and cheated, put in
little "look-what-you-can't-have" sound bytes just to wreak havoc among
the utility creators. Evil, huh?

It chooses the compounds for you, and you can't hear the voices during the
game.

You cannot change the tyre compounds at all.
The game makes the selections for you, the same way as in real
F1 where Goodyear brings the compound to the track that is most
suitable. Every car gets the same compound. No favourtism here.
Also there is no way, that is until Microprose release an update
(if that ever happens) that you can hear any other voices or
sounds in the game. It shows that Microprose relased the game
in a somewhat unfinished condition. Or maybe it is finished and
they are just waiting for us poor suckers to shell out more money
for an update disk that will "unlock" various features in the game
which are already in place.
Hope this sheds some on the subject HELPME!

Close - FIA banned special qualifying tyres but I think that other than
that there are no special limitations on compound. It's just that
Goodyear were only taking one type of tyre to each race, so the teams had
no choice. May become different now Bridgestone are about as well.
ROFL!!
(yes, I can believe it - probably Geoff's voice as well <g>)
