GPL destroyed by Links99?

I installed Links99 and now GPL won't load (GPF).
Uninstalling and reinstalling GPL didn't work.  Hercules Thriller
video.

Could it be DirectX6?  Advice?  Please hand address replies to

Thanks.

I installed Links LS 1999, too, and didn't have any problems.  I have a
Voodoo 2 card, however, so my experiences are not that relevant to you.  It
might be DirectX 6.  I know that with the Voodoo 2 cards you need to save an
older version of glide2x.dll for it to work with DirectX 6.  Perhaps there
is something similar you need to do for the Hercules Thriller.

Note: Links isn't a 3D game, so it shouldn't have overwritten any 3D
drivers.

Sorry this wasn't more informative.  Anybody else running Links LS 1999 and
GPL with the Hercules Thriller?

Aaah, the joys of Windows maintainance. I guess a re-install is in order.
