Does GPL work without 3D hardware, with a Cyrix 200+, and with a
keyboard?

And is it Formula One or IndyCar simulation?

Thanks in advance

I think you can probably forget about it without 3D hardware :-( also, the
sim is hard enough with a steering wheel, I wouldn't expect to do much with
a keyboard

Formula 1, 2 and 3! (The clue is that it's called "GRAND PRIX Legends")

1967 formula one series.  Your street car has more traction than these
cars do.  That was the way it was back then

Thanks. The reason I asked about the series is because PC Gamer's web site
claimed it was and Indycar thing but PC Format said it was Formula One.

Theoretically GPL will work without 3D hardware; there is a
software-only mode.  But in practice, frame rate is impossibly slow on a
P-233MMX.  Maybe it would be ok on a PII-400, but I've never seen one of
those.  It would be much more cost effective to get a Pentium or AMD
chip in the 200 to 233 mhz range for your existing machine and add in a
Voodoo or Rendition 3D card.

I don't think you can drive GPL with a keyboard, but even if you could,
it would be a waste of time.  You need a wheel or at least a joystick.

"Grand Prix" means Formula One.

I assume it was asked what Grand prix stands for. It means "Big price"
.Grand Prix is also used in Horse racing at least here in Europe.

Ummm....whilst it may ironically also mean 'Big Price', I think you mean
'Prize'!  :-)

Well, the car in the game is a Lotus.. and I don't believe they have
ever been involved in IndyCar, just F1.  Could be wrong...

Jim Clark won the '65 500 driving a Lotus. A.J. Foyt took the pole that
year, also driving a Lotus.

Nope, J. Clark won the Indy 500 in the 60's, in a Lotus. *many* Lotuses
have been campaigned there through the years.

The GPL demo also includes a Brabham and a Gurney Eagle V-12........
