Sorry Eric. I got a 3D Blaster, not the Reactor.
I Wonder how many of you guys use a SoundBlaster???  or 100% compatable???
Anyway, I do not want too start a Industry standard string here (Which
Creative Labs has got)...Du, Nuf said.
I think the more companies that support rendition the better.
And C-Labs is a major driving force. BIG TIME!!!!
I hope they bring out THE PATCH for indycar2 soon.
Would like too get it by other means, Any help is much appreciated. ICR2-3D
works with the 3D Blaster. no problem
Can someone please help me. I own Icr2 anyway,+ I am supporting rendition
based cards by buying the Blaster. No?
Also.. VQuake is Awesome on the card. Great job RENDITION!!!
Final note... HEY CREATIVE LABS......Don't***up. I expect some serious
support for this card.  take example from Intergraph... Top notch!!
Empires have fallen for smaller reasons.  oohhh.. You must be scared now, eh?

Thankyou fellow simmers, please don't Flame me too much.

Sorry to rain on your CL party, but I build systems for a living and I can
tell You,  Between Creative Labs and Diamond Multimedia,  I dont know who
holds the record for the longest period on hold for a customer calling tech
support, BUT ITS ONE OF THEM!

PS,  Sierra Online Has THE SLOWEST WEB SITE ON THE PLANET, and there is no
close second place.  In my year + on the Web, I have never seen a site as
slow.  Granted, I'm on the East coast, Their site is in the midwest. NO
EXCUSE.  It's 4:20 AM and in 26 Minutes I Have now seen the front page and
one other link to some buy 2 get one free that i hit by mistake.  Go
creative labs!

Gee, you sure sre sensitive. Did Creative Labs really shaft you some time?
I think Sound Blaster is the best next too Turtle Beach then any Pro card
Blows them all away. Anyway you seem too be very bias and just
love your Reactors/Intergraph. When I was a Kid we use too argue who's Dad had
the better lawnmower  One made by Sears / One by The Bay...
funny thing is they both had Briggs&Stratton engines ! !
They were both junk!
Oh Well,  them were the days.

See you

I use a Sound Blaster (like most people), but not by choice.  It's a
crappy noisy card, but I don't have any compatibility problems.  If
another card would be guaranteed to work as well with all my games I
would buy it in a second.  Being the standard doesn't mean you have a
quality product.

If you want the 3D Blaster that's fine with me.  But the way I see it,
the Reactor is cheaper, it comes with ICR2, and Intergraph has
incredible support.  It beats the 3D Blaster on all accounts.  BTW,
asking Creative Labs for great support is an exercise in futility.

Having briefly owned a 3D Blaster, I would have to agree that Creative Labs
Support is weak bordering on a don't really care attitude. First off no
where in the documentation or on the packaging did they list a Technical
Support Number, No big deal just a bit of an inconvenience. Upon talking to
the tech he really wasn't very helpful and  didn't seem interested in
getting any specifics on the nature of my problem. I own an IBM aptiva
(lately I have really started believing integrated systems cause more
problems than they solve) and feel considering how common these types of
systems are becoming these days they may have spent a little time getting
more information, maybe not to immediately solve my problem but to better
improve future releases of their product. Anyways my problems seems to be
with the 3D blaster conflicting with the system board, it deactivates the
power switch so the only way I have shutting off my computer is by
unplugging it, also win95 hangs on startup if the Rapid Resume feature is
disabled. I have ordered a Reactor figuring that it couldn't be any worse
and from what I have heard from this group is that there support is
excellent, also it seems rendition ICR2 is only available if you purchase
either the intergraph or sierra cards. It just kind of sucks that you have
to mail order the reactor, the CL card seems to be the only one sold in
Edmonton.

I guess you've never heard the Emu 8mb patch set on an AWE32? Blow the Roland and Yamaha cards
away. And the AWE, 8mb of RAM, and the EMU patch set is still cheaper then the Roland card.

So, you're blaming your widely documented Rapid Resume problems on the 3D Blaster? C'mon....
