Poor Mgp2 Performance

just got mgp2 and found to my horror that it is really jerky which is
strange as F1rs ran great and mgp2 is meant to be smoother i wonder if
this is directx6 related. my machine is an amd 266 o/c to 333 with a
32mb ram and a 4meg voodoo 1 the sound is a soundpro onboard thing
(cm3880) and the primary graphics card is an s3 virge, if anybody has
any ideas id be greatful...

I am running it on a P11-266 o/c to 300, 64mb ram and 12mb V2 smooth as
silk, no stutters at all, even on the first corner.
