I've just discovered that you can call just about anyone you know and
ask -

"Are you on the phone right now?"

And, thinking you mean "Are you on the other line", they will invariably
answer "No."

To which you can insert any particularly witty saying, such as, "Then
how can you hear me?"

Sorry, had to share.

"Are there any Walls there?"
"No, No Walls in this house"
"Then you better get out before it collapsed"
