Endurance-Sebring 12 hours: Can o' Whup A$$

Did anyone notice the thrashing the Daytona 24 hour winning car got from
the ALMS boys?  The Doran/Lista Dallara Judd, which won the pole and race at
the Rolex Grand Am event, barely made the top 10 in Qualifying at Sebring.
Since the whole ALMS/Grand Am mess reminds me of CART/irl I would think the
ALMS guys will now start changing 'their' rules to allow the ALMS cars to
run at Daytona and the ALMS will not exist in two more years.
sigh...........

One hopeful difference; while the IRL has the "signature" open wheel event in the Indy 500, the ALMS has that advantage with
sportscars.  And I can't see the ACO accommodating the Grand Am guys with rules changes to help them out at LeMans.

Dave,

You think that's strange...consider: the entire 12 hours of Sebring was
shown on TSC (The Speed Channel), which is effectively owned by ALMS' sworn
enemy, NASCAR.  But only intermittant coverage was given to the 24-hours of
Daytona, an event--YES!--sponsored by NASCAR's bastard offspring, the
Grand-Am.  I guess we were lucky to see *any* of Sebring.

My favorite moment: when they took time out of their busy event to REPAVE
THE TRACK!
