Could this page possibly load any slower? I'm connected at
31,200 on a USR 33.6 and it took about 5 minutes or so to
load the first page. Granted, I could buy a USR 56k modem
and that would help a little, but with all the new things
just around the corner, I'm waiting to see the shakeout.
Plus, I think a lot of the reason this page is so damn slow
is the server it's on. Good Lord, a page that loads this
slow would be slow even at LAN speeds! Nice effort, but not
worth a whole lot if it's gonna stay on this slow server and
try to load all those graphics at once. Did everyone sleep
in web design class? When everyone is connected up at 5mb/s
or so, bring it on, but until then, just make the site
useful and let me load the graphics I want to see, a few at
a time. Sorry for the rant but I'm getting pissed at all the
poor design on the web.
