That demo is almost 3 years old, according to the site.  Is there a
newer demo than that -- one that would effectively preview the retail
version?

Also, is the full version going to be a download (like rFactor)?  Or
will it be on CD?

Full version is a download. It will work as Demo until you unlock it
(like LFS). So there will be a demo when the full version is available
