Well what can I say EA you are disappointing!!!

All the delays ... all the waiting for a game that is rubbish!

Why when you produce Sims like the F1 serries do you let us all down by
producing a game of such poor quality!

After waiting on pre-order for months my copy will be going straight back to
the shop ...

Buyer beware if you are a sim player don't even look at this release you
will be disappointed...

says...

I'm starting to warm somewhat to the game. A few people were lucky
enough to get copies prior to the release through some sort of
competition and remarked that the more you play, the better the
game feels.

Been playing MP all morning and the MP engine appears to be very
good. As yet I've only had 9 in one race but there was no lag
whatsoever.

Yes, it lacks the setup features of NR2002, infact the two games
are light and day when it comes to setting up your car. In my opinion
it's the best V8 supercar sim we have to date (and considering the
challengers for the title, it's not that flattering a remark).

Time will tell how the MP market will pick it up. Before you send
your copy back, do a few races around the ASRG server
203.18.77.5:16700. If these guys permanently run a V8 challenge
server and setup a league, I'll be plonking my money down.

Cheers,
Rod.

I've just been playing it down at the shop.  It's not as bad as some people
are making out.  Sure, it's no F12002, but it kind of reminds me of TOCA 2 -
but without the *** European cars and tracks.  The braking is probably the
shoddiest aspect of the game.

I agree, first impressions were not good, but I have kept playing and
tweaked the steering and car settings.

While there are not a lot of setting to play with they do make a
difference to the performance of the car.

I am on Satellite so online pay is out of the question but the LAN
play is pretty good.

AI is sad though.........

What's up with our "***" tracks ? Too many bends for you, or something ?
And what about the cars ? Explain yourself, pillock.

"redTed"
Aussie's have this thing about their V8 series.  Even when the Super
Tourers were brought in, they never equalled the fanbase of the V8's.  So I
BELIEVE he was referring to the '*** cars'(2.0 4 cylinder Super Tourers)
and the tracks...Again, since a great many of England's tracks seem to be
former Airports, they are very flat...So the Aussie, who revels in the
mountain at Bathurst, would also look down upon many of the British Touring
car league tracks...(personally I think Knockhill is a hoot...a great little
curb hopping circuit)
THis sounds like some college anthropology lecture doesn't it??  hehe

It is terrible.

The force feedback is a joke.

It is like a spring centered wheel with almost random changes of force.

And NO POWER OVERSTEER!!! 600bhp rear wheel drive and you can be driving
around a corner in second and floor it and the back end stays stuck to the
ground. Unbelieveble. It will brake loose if you overcook it into a corner
but there isn't the tiniest amount of power oversteer I can detect.

Colin McRae Rally 2.0 has a MUCH more realistic driving and force feedback
model.

And the graphics is really sad - you can see the filtering blocks broken
white lines on the track.

And I so desperately wanted it to be good!!

Why the hell couldn't the idiots who funded this trash give money to the
gt2001 mod makers to give us what we really want.

On the upside the audio is pretty good, the cars look pretty good.

I hope someone can extract the tracks and models from this trash and load
em into gt2001.
