Almost forgot - Eldred, would it be possible to have a short warmup session
*after* qualifying?  A ten minute warmup would allow us to get used to our
race setup again and would probably help prevent a few first lap
"excursions".

Hi Haqsau:

Thanks for sending me the replay for Hungary.  I'd
appreciate it if you could send me another one from
tomorrow's race.  If it doesn't compress, don't bother
with zipping the replay.

Sorry about your misfortune at Hungary after you
clawed your way into the lead.  I tend to think
invulnerable is a good way to run races.  If it were
allowed you could have gotten back in the race, back
from the leaders, but you would still have a race with
others that were off the pace.  You got to first
position after a first turn excursion in the first
lap, I think you might have been able to do it again.

From my online experience in races where invulnerable
is not allowed, I think anyone who can putter around the
track without hitting anything, two laps behind the
leader, has a good chance for a podium finish.

I don't know the Australia track well enough to
compete tomorrow, but I am getting a handle on other
tracks and will want to join you folks soon.

                                                Larry

Oh 'eck - I just looked on the server, and there's no Hungary replay.  WTF?!?
Waitaminute...
I forgot - my main server was being a brat, so I used a different one.  But I
just checked it, and the replay there is only 2.2 MB.  That doesn't sound
right, because Germany's was 14MB...

Without all you guys falling off the track, how can I move up? :-)
Is that even *possible*?  I'll have to check.  Since I usually(in any race
game) run the same setup for qual and race I'm already used to the handling.  I
forget that others use different setups...

I'll try to remember to save it but it would be best to get it from the
server if it is available.  Client replays will have very low fidelity in
some spots, as you undoubtedly noticed.

Yeah I think with invulnerability Neil probably would have won, but it could
have been a very interesting race for second place.  Still I think damage is
necessary in order to keep people from doing crazy stuff like riding rails.
Just unfortunate that it bit me that time.  Nevertheless leading even just a
few laps on my first online race was more than enough to get me hooked and
make sure I show up again.  Hope you can join us soon.

Sorry for the delay - I didn't realize that the f1rst client had changed...
The race is now up.  25 min practice, then qual.
