I just got INdyCar 2..I installed using minimum install from CD...when I
load the game..on the opening menu screen , the curser just keeps scrolling
down the list..I can't stop it. Anyone know whats wrong?  PS...the version
is 1.0

Sounds like your joystick is not calibrated. (ICR allows you to use
the joystick to navigate menus...) Try typing "J" or control-J to turn
off joystick control of menus. Then calibrate your controller. (in the
options menu if memory serves.)

A: It appears that your joystick is out of calibration.  Press the "J"
   key which will turn off your joystick.  Now you can re-calibrate
   your joystick or make other selections.

Also go to
<ftp://ftp.sierra.com/pub/sierra/patches/sports-sim/icr100_2.exe> and
get your sim updated to version 1.02.  This will make a great
improvement in being able to get a decent setup and control the car.
There is a major handling bug in version 1.00 which can cause you great
grief in trying to get the hang of this sim.
