No surprise at all.  I *HATE* that bastard George.  If he would just die a
lot of the problems with open wheel racing in the USA would just go away.

Unfortunately, Tony George isn't going away anytime soon. I had quite
a hard time seperating my dislike of Tony Hulman from enjoying the action
packed IRL races.

IRL rulebook???

It's no big surprise when you remember that Robin Miller has *hated* the
IRL from the very beginning and takes great delight in bashing it
whenever he can. Also keep in mind that CART is DEAD. All the motor
sponsors have pulled out, only 12 teams have signed up for next year,
all the big races (Indy, Michigan, California, etc.) are now IRL events,
their last two races were parades and even all their *wonderful*
technology of turbos is going away.

So.......you can howl all you want, but if you want to watch open wheel
racing here, it will be an IRL event.

And, keep in mind, that Tony George has brought all of the racing
(expect for one) back to the USA. You can go and see almost all of the
races HERE. Not in Brazil, Germany, UK, etc. And they are getting big
crowds. Texas had 60,000+ (and opened up the garage area after the race
to all of the fans!), Kansas is sold out, etc.

And........don't forget that the IRL races are EXCITING! You don't see
CART cars going 220 6" apart lap after lap (and never at Texas, either!!).

So have a beer and say farewell to CART.

wrong.

wrong.

All the motor

wrong. pook stated yesterday he has 22 cars signed up already.

Really?

yea, small ovals suck.

nd even all their *wonderful*

wrong. you really need to pay more attention to what is going on.

Not me friend. the irl is a stupid series.

then why is he in germany buying a track, and why is the irl racing in japan
next year???
you really need to pay more attention.

CART had 44 thousand yesterday, thats more than were at pole day at the
500!!
(you really need to pay more attention)

exciting? you call lap after lap after lap of yellow flags and stupid
mistakes exciting?
Are you a nascar fan or something?

You don't see

yes they go faster.

beer, that figures. are you the guy with the corndog and 12 pack they showed
on tv? CART's future is solid.
Pay attention.

It's no surprise because it's actually, true?

Far from it.  Just reorganising.

I didn't know that because they were American oval tracks, they were
necessarily "big races".

Here?  Sorry but there is a big world outside the USofA.

Poor quality drivers racing poor quality cars on boring ovals?  No thanks.

Errr, you must not be watching CART.

First two were forced to race there because of their contracts.  They will
leave the series as soon as possible.  Michael Andretti doesn't race in the
IRL he races in CART, and Jr is an old washed up driver.

The Rumour mill has Mikey retiring this year, but buying an IRL team.  You
can bet THe Devil's child(who name does not deserve print) will pour tons of
cash into any operation that includes the Andretti's...still has to buy his
friends...and you must wonder the legalities of a racing league where the
league arbiter pays some of the teams.

IRL rulebook???

I think you have gotten IRL and CART mixed up. CART is amazing, and the IRL
is so ***that the only decent race they have is the Indy 500 (obviously)
and they let the CART drivers race that anyway (they won't let them win
though :-).

I have made a list of all the good things about the IRL:
1) <END OF LIST>

Anyway, SkySports here in the UK show the CART and IRL races on Sunday
nights. The CART race is always live, and the IRL race is always fitted
around it. That is due to viewing figures. And, contrary to popular beleifs,
CART has quite a following in the UK. I think the IRL has 1 regular viewer
in the UK, and that is me laughing at how ***it all really is.

No offence.
