Does anybody know if a dual processors system would be any good for playing
game i.e.

Nascar4, GPL, GP3, etc....?

NASCAR 4 will support dual processors, ie; it is multi-threaded

GPL supports dual cpus.  Randy said not to expect much because of the
bus limitations, but it can do it.

I understand GPL will, but it will require, of course, an operating
system that supports SMP.

which any w9x system isn't. You'll need NT4 or NT5 for that :)

Keep in mind that you have to use an operating system that supports multiple
processors as well. In the Windows environment, that limits you to NT4 or
Win 2000. Since you are interested in games, NT4 is out, so 2k is your only
choice.
