Going along at Talladega (Nascar2) and a yellow comes out. All of the
sudden Jeff Burton goes flying by me in reverse. I go back to the replay
to look at it. Jeff Burton brushed the wall, Shifted into reverse and went
screaming down the back stretch at 550 mph backwards! Glad i didnt hit
him. That would have been a 700 mph+ collision. Just wondering if anyone
else had seen this.

I'm trying to configure my ThrustMaster GP1 for Nascar Racing
and the steering always ends up set opposite to what it should
be (right goes left, etc.). I really want this to work so any advise
would be appreciated.

Are you doing this in WIN95? I have the same trouble with GP2 and my
Virtual pilot flight yoke - I reboot ms-dos, and it calibrates fine.
have to practice with my mirror if I want to driev like that.:)

Something like that happened to me in N1. Robert Pressley (#29) was coming
out of turn 2 at Bristol when he magically started going in reverse very
fast. I was in turn 3 when I saw something scream by me against the wall.
He kept going until he hit Kyle Petty, which in turn went on to hit
Brandon Gillis. One of the more weird things I've seen next to the HOG bug
(which is even in the Nascar.exe as well as Multi.exe!)

I never saw the computer cars do this but I is common knowledge that in
both Nascar1 and 2 there is no spped limit to the reverse gear....You can
go as fst as you want in reverse as long as you don't hit something....

This is in Nascar 1, not 2.
Yes, I saw this bug once in N1. Or, one very similar to it. It was at
Tally. I was coming through turn 4 then the screen jumped. I got very
disorientated. Before I could figure out where I was or were heading I had
a very *** collision. Only after watching the replay several times did
185mph/ Me setting on the start finish line for 2 or 3 frames/ Me moving in
another car (don't remember who, I sure hope it was Earnheart though).
These switches in position, direction, and speed were instantainous, and
without warning. All in all, a rather disturbing end to my race.
