Everyone Call me a Moron!

Well I feel rather foolish, as though this is poetic justice of some sort for
complaining about reckless inexperienced (Moron) drivers.

Last night while racing at Talladega, I was battling for 1st place with
another driver for a number of laps (4 or 5).  I would pass him on each lap
going into turn 3, and he would subsequently pass me right back heading into
turn 1.  Well as fate would have it (perhaps I offended the Gods of Talladega
or something), I got a little loose passing low in turn 3, and drifted up
tapping the other driver.  Despite the slight contact, it did spin my
companion back into 5th place.  It was not done maliciously, just a little
careless racing on my part.  Thankfully he understood this.

Well, now that I got that off of my chest, I apologize to anyone whom I may
have offended in my earlier posts.  We all can get careless at times, but
that's no excuse for reckless driving.  But, if anyone feels the need to call
me a Moron, feel free to do so (I deserve it).

By the way, I am currently at skill level (4) including this incident and
rising, hopefully. =)

I dont think no ones complaining about incedents like that one, that
sounds like "just one of those racin deals" to me.  Its the ones that
cause multi cars pile ups during pace laps and drive right down into
middle of traffic after spinning out...etc That are the problem.
Stuff like that has nothing to do with being inexperienced, its just
using your brain.

but if it really helps you get rid of some guilt........YOU MORON  :>

Accidents such as that do and are going to happen.... as someone else
responded, that's just one of those racing incidents.  No matter how good
someone is, chances are that they're going to be involved in such an
incident racing against other humans.
It's the "inexperienced drivers" (yeah, right) that pull this ***
intentionally that gripes me.  I was running at 'Dega the other night.  We
had over 20 cars in the race, and I was running 3rd at the time with the
leaders just ahead of me.  I had paying particular attention to one of the
cars in front of me as he had been very erratic.  Eventually, he managed
to take out the other car that was up front without wrecking himself.  I
closed the distance as he lost speed due to the contact and I followed him
around for a lap or two before deciding to pass him low going down the
backstretch.  I was completely beside this "goober" when he decided to
start coming down on me.  I went all the way to the edge of the grass and
he still kept coming until he eventually hit me and pushed me into the
grass, where I spun out and collected the inside wall.  The guy who was in
third at the time was only a couple of car lengths back and even he said
that that was uncalled for.  Of course, the guy that hit me kept going,
but thank goodness he didn't win the race.  I'll remember his name and I
will not race in another event with him.  I didn't say one word to him as
I knew it wouldn't accomplish anything, but I was nonetheless peeved.
Whew.....  I feel better now... :)

Why ton't you tell US, so we can avoid him too!  Maybe he'll get the message
when no one will race with him...
