You will almost certainly be restricted to VGA mode and
thus miss out on the very pretty SVGA graphics.  If you
are upgrading soon at least you can play now and appreciate
the better graphics later.

The difference between VGA and SVGA is very noticeable; it
really helps for judging corners and "seeing into the distance"
which was a problem with F1GP1's low res.

On my P100 I get an estimated 10FPS or so with all the textures on
bar the sky (which I don't like anyway) plus most things in my
mirror and "all objects".  I would guess you need a P133 min to
have the sky textures too;  without these the sky is plain blue,
which (imho) looks better than the sky textures :-)

I bought the Game today and I also have a DX 2/66. The game runs very well
indeed. I can run in Vga with everything but sky on and quite a bit of
stuff on in the mirrors at 13.4 fps or I can get Svga which i prefer with
almost no detail and only cars in the mirrors at 12.1fps. I know these
framerates sound slow but they are fine and virtually jitter free. I was
really surprised by the performance. If you want more info on playing the
