For about $10-20 you can get one of the original Rendition chip-based
cards right now. It will run all your Papyrus sims such as Nascar 2
very well because there are special Rendition versions of the games.
GPL is also optimized for Rendition as well. And for GP2, since that is
DOS based, the Rendition chips have always been vey fast in SVGA mode,
which is what GP2 needs from a graphics card as it is not a
3d-accelerated game. One of these cheap Renditions will work perfect
with your 233, Nascar2 will run at full graphics options on and max
frame rate. GPL will run at respectable levels too.
Try www.onsale.com - I have seen the old Intense 3D for $4 to $10, the
Sierra Screamin' 3D for about $20. Both are new cards, they're just
older generation cards nowdays and have been sitting around not
selling. With either card, you can get rid of your Diamond entirely, as
these Rendition cards are 2D/hardware 3D.
