Pass-up on the intro by typing NASCAR2.EXE.

Same thing happened to me also,  After the movie finished, then my PC
locked up big time.  The only way to get out of it was to unplug the
PC.  Pretty ***......
The setup screen where you set your sound card configuration is not a
very good setup.  You cannot change the sound card parameters without
first testing it which in turn locks up your PC.  The old way they
did it was better.....I haven't tried running the game with no sound
which is what I'll do next after building up some courage....what a
shame.....

My installation problem:  The sound card setup keeps locking up when I
try to set it to the parameters that NASCAR I and all other sound
related games use (SB 8 Mono, Port 220, IRQ 5, DMA 1).  I am trying to
change it because the Autodetect settings aren't giving me sound.  My T1
steering wheel is also not working properly as the gas and brake map to
the same control setting, regardless of what I do.  I'm sure the two are
related.  This pedal thing is suspiciously like the original NASCAR
release a couple of years ago.  I just went through this a couple hours
ago and haven't had a chance to investigate much.  I am just pretty
#%$#$# frustrated that an update to a game doesn't load as easily as the
older version.  Even Grand Prix II found my sound/wheel combination!

Its because you are typing the wrong directory.  Try nascar2 instead of
mascar2. :-)
