Nascar2 Direct Connection

I have 2 computers (Pent 133 and Pent 300) side by side. I would like to
link them. I tried using my laptop cables (DB9 F) and hook to the serial
port. Nascar is showing  incorrect com ports and says it is looking for the
connection.

My question is.......Do I need a null cable to attach to the serial port or
what I have now work? Plus do I have to set anything else up/ I am using
Kali, for Nascar2 and I am having no problems. Any help would be
appreciated.

Why don't you get two cheap network adapters???? The connection is soo much
better, and there's much more games you'll be able to play on your linked
computers. That is, if there's someone to join you. :)
