Damn fine race track, but what's happened to 'Tarzan' corner over the years? In
GPL, Tarzan is the first corner but I remember seeing somwhere, some footage of
Gilles Villeneuve pass someone around the outside o a very different Tarzan -
it was a long right hander which led directly onto the start/finish grid. What
happened? Did they move the grid back towards the last corner and rename that
turn 'Tarzan'?

Or am I completely bonkers?

I rather think I am, I saw a picture of 'Mel C' today and thought she look
pretty damn fine (but not in the Zandvoot sense :)

8 points behined Championship Leader (as of round 3 of 6)

Nope. The Tarzan corner stil exists and the grid is where it was.
The right hander you mention is a corner called "bos uit".

Check this site out for the (new and this year improved) lay out of the cureent
circuit:

Enjoy,

You're completely bonkers ;)
You're talking Bosz-Uit that's a very quick right hander with a blind entry,
it leads on the start/finish straight. Tarzan has always remained the same,
it's a wide 180 degree turn with quite some banking (it's the one right
after the start straight).

Yep :-)

Tarzan is still the same, always has been. It was there that Villeneuve
passed Jones around the outside in 1979.

The rest of the circuit's pretty different though. The big fast section
from Scheivlak onwards is now a beach-housing estate or something :-(

not anymore, with the new layout the Scheivlak is back and it's very good
indeed. I drove a FFord there two weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised
by the track.

Tarzanbocht is the first corner (wide hairpinnish sorta thing) and the
long right hander you're talking about is Bosuit.

So yes, you're a loon.

Sorry to do this in English, but I posted this on the newsgroup as well
:)

I bet you've driven the Tarzan bocht both in GPL and in real life, so
you must have noted that in GPL it's a very thight hairpin with some
banking, while in real life it's much bigger and you can enter it much
faster...

At least that's what some drivers told me, since only looking at it
doesn't show how it 'drives' ofcourse...
