Did you just make parole or something?  Everyone has had the demo for
almost a week now.

Do you have to have a Smart ASS remark about everything Eric?
Why do you have to trash every article you come in contact with?

Lighten up, you're showing your inexperience in this group.  If you have
read my posts over the past year or two you will find that I am one those
who actually post useful information.  I have gone out of my way to answer
questions and help others in this group.  Sometimes however, I find an
article that just needs a little special touch.  It's all in good fun; you
shouldn't take it so serious.

The original poster seemed so e***d that he got his hands on the demo,
obviously oblivious to the fact that it had been widely available at over a
dozen mirror sites for almost a week.  If the post had come on Tuesday
(when everyone was looking for a mirror site to the demo) I would have said
nothing.  As a matter of fact, I would have thanked him and gone to The
PITS to download it.

BTW, do the nurses know you're using the computer?  Oh damn, there I go
again =)

Hey, I've never used the parole one before in this group.  Come to think of
it I haven't used the nurses one either.  I've posted less than a dozen
such flames in the past year (all of which I still feel were deserved).

It was originally posted on Tuesday by Jan Kohl (who maintains The PITS
site) that the demo was available from his site.

I do want a serious forum in which to discuss simulators.  Most of the
posts I respond to in this way are either totally off topic or extremely
redundant.  I would never flame anyone for asking a reasonable question or
making an insightful comment.  I don't know how many times I've answered
'Where do I get the Brickyard' or 'How do I remove the restrictor plate at
Talladega' 'How do I calibrate my T1/2 in Win95' type questions.  My
presence in this newsgroup and my web page are to try and help others, I
really don't get anything out of either.

I have never felt that it was my job (or anyone else's for that matter) to
patrol the newsgroup, but if my posts discourage useless or extraneous
posts then I'm glad.  This newsgroup has enough ***being posted to it
(this thread included) that it could use a little downsizing.

For any further dialog on this subject please e-mail me, this will be my
last post about this.

If you'll notice the original poster wrote " for those of you who
don't have the Nascar2 Demo you can get it at The Pits workshop".
In my opinion he was trying to be helpfull, Your sarcasm only
discourages someone to post other articles.  I would think someone of
your EXPERIENCE ON THIS NEWSGROUP would want a serious forum with
useful information.  I for one would rather not have a reply to an
article than to get one trying to embarrass  me.
If you insist on being Captain Ego then please go by a new book of
insults your old ones suck.  Don't quit your day job.

This will be my last post as well,  looks like I made my point whether
you got it or not.  Evidentally you dont like to be flamed ( as you
call it ) either because this thread sure got a rise out of you. I
know you help alot of people and I do respect that but whenever you
post a comment like that one it just adds to the bullsh*t that ends up
on here.  I hope you can understand this and my only pupose was to
open your eyes to the problem not to offend you.  So please accept my
apoligy for being an A-Hole myself.

Only wanted to make a point.

Gregg, you read my mind! I could not agree with your reply more in
response to this know-it-all!

You still agree with Gregg after NOAMANIAC reposted this same message two
more times?  After all, Jan Kohl himself (the maintainer of The PITS site)
personally posted on Tuesday that the demo was on his site.  Why this
AOLamer felt it necessary to repost this information for the second time
yesterday and the third time today is beyond me.  He is obviously a bit
clueless about USENET, and I meant to humorously point this out.

How is this any different than your own posts, most notably your humorous
one about Nascar2 requiring a mouse?  Or how about your quoting two entire
posts (a USENET no-no) just to add one sarcastic line (yet another no-no):
"Is this for demo derby racing using NASCAR?"   What about you telling Kirn
to get of his "LAZY TUSH" at go pick up cans to get money for RAM.  I think
you see my point.

Again like I said with Gregg, if you want to continue this please do so
through e-mail.  The rest of the group doesn't need to filter through more
useless posts.

Be carful here, your personal attacks are extending way past the
individual who posted on Tuesday.  Namely 6.5 million subscribers to
AOL, some of which have no choice because of decisions made by their
employers, parents, etc.  This is being very judgemental.  If you want
respect, try giving the benefit of the doubt.

Or how about your quoting two entire

Sorry for offending anybody.  I was not up late when I wrote this or
anything, I simply did not know about this rule.

   What about you telling Kirn

No! I don't see your point!  These people make me mad and I meant what I
said to him and others who IMO think we should all stay in the slow lane
with respect to sim developement. If these crybabies had their way,
NASCAR1 would never have had SVGA graphics.  I don't mean to joke but
one really can go out and pick up enough aluminum cans in a short amount
of time to buy a 16 meg simm.  It is a win-win situation-the roadside is
cleaner and the sims are more fun.

Isn't this a useless post?  Or are you made of such royalty that you can
have the last word publicly?  As for me, I shall just bow down to your
majesty, right?  If you want to continue this via e-mail then why did
this post appear in R.A.S.? Up late again? LOL

Look I'm sorry about the Nascar 2 Demo Thing.  My ever speedy aol must've
just not gotten all the other ones to me.  All i saw was about a million,
Where's the Demo, and is it out yet.  I merely responded kindly.  I was
not aware however that i was getting old news since it was at the top of
the heap.

I hate aol just like the rest of you but right now i'm just a little short
on money for another internet account so i'm on my dad's aol as another
screen name.

I'm sorry for "wasting bandwitch" and I'll try and keep up a little
better.

Sorry,
Keith Speroni

Just a little tip, if you only check out r.a.s every couple of weeks,
don't try & post anything topical, as you are bound to be number 200
in the queue.....
