Burnout and Thrustmaster T2

Burnout and Thrustmaster T2

I'm stuck on this one: my Thrustmaste T2 doesn't want to work correctly
with Burnout. Could it be because it is a DOS game? When I press the gas
pedal on the Joystick 1
calibration screen I only get half way up the line, when I turn right I
only get half way. The brake and steering left work just fine. I tried out
the wheel with Intersate '76 and F1 Racing Simulation just to make sure
nothing went wrong mechanically. It worked fine in those games.

Could it be because Burnout is a DOS game? I've got a T2 with an adapter by
the way, so it plugs into one game port.

Has anyone else had success using a Thrustmaster T2 with Burnout?

OK. Silly me. I chose the "RESET" option and now the controller shows
inputs
correctly on the calibration screen. But it doesn't change the driving
experience:
I can't get past 2nd gear (because the acceleration seems to be too slow)
and
I can't steer the car hardly at all. Any advice?

Tom:

You are not the only one with this problem.  Thank God I thought I was the
only one with this problem.  I hope somebody responds, because right now,
the game is sitting there collecting dust because it isn't worth playing
with this problem.

By the way, I have the Nascar Pro wheel and I still have the same problem as
you.  Doesn't look like a wheel specific issue.

I too use a thrustmaster Nascar pro wheel. I think the problem that you are
having with the steering is the normal way the game plays. It feels as if
there is a sterring lock of 1 degree doesnt it? The accel part of your
problems, Im not so sur about. I have not had the problem, but can only
recommend to double check all your calibration, which im sure you already
have done. Good luck guys, it is a great game.

Bryan-

I think the acceleration has something to do with the gears you choose. If
you check the gear setups you will find that there are options where the
car only has 2 or 3 gears. This confused me at first, since I couldn't get
out of 2nd gear. Well, I didn't have one! After choosing RESET and
recalibrating, I found that the car did work,
it's just that the steering feels like you're driving through mud.

Not sure why I couldn't turn at all at first, but eventually it worked.
Just keep trying to recalibrate your T2 within the game (not the Win95
recalibrate) and then see if that helps. Let me know.
