DTR - Demolition Derby

I joined a race at Knocks Hill yesterday, and had a guy slam me right
at the start. I was pissed! I just got away from the guy and kept
running my lap.
Next lap, I see someone coming at me the wrong way.
I was about ready to bail from the server, and I saw other guys in the
race hitting each other, too.
I figured I'd just found a bunch of idiots, but when they went into
the infield, I realized what they were doing.

A full-blown demolition derby, trying to flip other players and knock
them out of the game. It was actually pretty fun, the trick being to
slam a guy when he's close to the infield walls to flip him over and
knock him out of the game.
You get DQ'd when you leave the track, but you don't actually get
kicked back to chat until your car is immobilized.

I expect you're going to start seeing more and more of this.
You'll initially be angry as hell, but roll with it. Kind of fun once
in a while.
It would have been nice if I knew what I was getting into before I
started, though.

If you find this entertaining, get a copy of Monster Truck Madness 2 and
head for the MSN Zone.  You can play  'Rumbles' where you essentially are
playing 'King of the Hill' with Monster trucks on one of several elevated
playing fields.  It sounds asinine and probably is, but I get the biggest,
stupidest grin when I do it.
