Just got a publicity email from Sierra/Vivendi about the E3 games and
product announcements.  Not a single racing title.  Nada, zilch.  On the
other, hand, we WILL be seeing an Incredible Hulk title.

like I said...

Aye. That and DX2. I cannot wait until one or the other are released.
Both, IMO, are going to set new standards for what's acceptable.

While Half Life 2 and Doom 3 both look ok, I have to admit I'm looking
forward much more to Deus Ex 2 and Thief 3.  I just wish we could get
Eidos to do a System Shock 3 too.

Full Throttle 2, keeping it ever so slightly on topic :-), and Max Payne
2 are the two games I'm looking forward to

Ditto for me. HL 2, DX 2, Max Payne 2. Now if only I had a system to run
them. <sigh>

Jason, you are the smartest guy here. Shock 3 NEEDS to be made

To be honest, I hope HL2 is a lot better than HL was.

I mean, rip off the Quake engine, do a perfectly linear storyline which once
played through one time is pointless doing again, serious problems with the
'modifications' they made to the engine (ie weird FOV, 2d-esque scenes etc),
the worst MP in the history of computer games (even single player only ones)
...

If it wasn't for CS (which I play all the time BTW), HL would be dead and
buried (where it belongs IMO). The most patched game ever and it is still
full of irritating bugs, like the menu buttons disappearing, not being able
to use the bottom row on the keypad in the console for typing IPs, etc.

Deus Ex is so much better on almost every level, and the 3D engine Ion Storm
are using for DX2 and Thief 3 looks fantastic.

I think DX2 is an essential purchase, HL2 might be a Kazaa download if I
accidently come across it ;-)

Me too.  But then why would I hope that it wasn't?

Full Throttle 2 looks awesome.

There's also a new game coming from the maker of Grim Fandango called
Psychonauts which looks incredible.  Unfortunately, I think it may be
an xbox-only title. =/

Grim Fandango, thx Jason, I was actually looking for the name of that
title, had problems running it way back when and never got to try it
much and thought of it the other day but couldn't remember what it was
called :-)

As for Full Throttle, going to install Win98 on an old HD here just so I
can run Full Throttle again, just as a warm up :-), Ben was
awesome...."I fixed your door, it was sticking" :-)

Not to mention the music in that game, "Gone Jackals", I actually bought
every CD they had released up until then just because the music they
made for FT kicked ass, but that's the trouble with buying music online,
they were nowhere to be found here in Norway at the time, their music
were only so-so when you listened to it by itself, but as background
music for the game it rocked :-)
