Good race, guys.  Got a couple questions though:

- How much wing were you guys running?  I ran 46 front 42 rear, still not
sure if that was a good choice.  It allowed me to take several corners flat
out (the first two turns of the esses, the second part of Abbey, and
Bridge), but I don't think I ever saw more than about 312 kph at the end of
Hangar Straight and I'm not sure if that is fast enough.
- How do you serve a stop-and-go in this game?  I jumped the start and had
to serve a stop-and-go.  Came into the pits and wasn't sure where to stop so
I pulled into my stall.  I could not just stop and go, it held me for a few
seconds.  I think my crew was topping off my fuel.  Should I have just
stopped somewhere in the pit lane instead?

Well, that is the last RASF1 race that I will be able to make.  It has been
fun.  Hopefully I will be able to join you all in an RAS touring car series
soon.  :o)

My setups are certanly not going to help, but I topped out at about
309 at the end of Hanger Straight. If I could have gotten out of the
last part of the esses faster, I might have been able to hit 310, but
I doubt I would have seen much more.

My understanding (possibly incorrect) is that you serve stop'n'go
penalties at the green light at the end of the pit area. And I think
it involves a 10 second delay, doesn't it? So maybe your pit crew
just held you and didn't really top up your fuel.

What kind of touring car series are you thinking about? One based on
F1C or one based on N2K3?

It has been fun. I just grin and drive around. There's something
about having other "real" drivers sharing the track that just makes
it so much better, even if I don't have a snowball's chance of
actually passing anyone, let along winning. Not that I'd mind
winning. I won a couple of GPL races once. <wistful sigh>

I tried to run some laps here.  I kept spinning, and my fastest lap was only a
1:46.  Since that was 20 seconds slower then the next highest at the time, I
figured it was a waste.  I don't get it - I couldn't do *anything* with the TN
setup...  Frustrating.

Not sure yet.  I prefer the way the ETCC cars feel, and there are some
excellent tracks available.  With an N2K3 mod we would have a dedicated
server, which would be nice, but there could be issues with tracks.  I would
prefer not to use Noonan's converter for several reasons.  First, it would
mean everybody would have to buy it AND a copy of GPL.  Second, I keep
hearing about people having issues with different versions of tracks, due
both to different versions of the converter and to the fact that you can
convert tracks with or without add-ons.  Just seems like too many issues.
If we could stick to freely downloadable tracks from sites like the Pits or
PWF then I think an N2K3 mod would be the way to go, just so we could have a
better server.  OTOH ETCC at tracks like Donington or Brands Hatch would be
more fun IMO, I'm having a hard time letting go of that idea.  ;o)

I agree.  I guess Im just getting bored of the Papy physics.  Not bashing
the TA physics but it really feels much to similar to a Cup car than a
sports car and the Papy Nx heritage really shows.  ETCC on the other hand
just feels more natural as a sports car sim.  Problem is getting anyone to
make the switch ;)  F1rst + ETCC = Simheaven.

I was running 45R 50F in the Jag - the Ferrari and McLaren were creaming me
on the straights but I was good through the turns ;) No idea about the stop
and go - I've never made a mistake yet (yeah right).

47 front and 42 rear. I use mph, and my top speed was 196.
