Are you sure it's that far away? IIRC, the Internet, not quite what we
know as it is today, was started during the Apollo 11 mission or sometime
around there, which would make it at least 30 years old July.

It was a minor story on all the news broadcasts. 30 years ago yesterday was
the first time somebody hooked up one computer to another.
