I need help picking my wheel.

Well after a long run my GP1 is pretty much kicked it wont clibrate to
center very well any more and the clamps are shot.

so I need a new one.  right now I have a NASCAR PRO and a NASCAR SPRINT

the SPRINT pros
- small enough that my keyboard drawer fits under it high enough for my
legs.
- feels fairly tight
- rcok solid calibration (my arms in GPL dont twitch like crazy)
- paddles
CONS
- the pedals are small and I cant get them to work
- wheel feels less solid than PRO

the PRO pros
- very solid feel
- clamps tight
- shifter
- pedals
- great 'feel'
CONS
- BIG, my legs barely fit under then keyboard drawer after its clamped down
- pedals have a tendacy to lift when I forget to kep a foot pressing down on
it

I wanted the SPRINT for the paddles and pedal I figured to shift with the
paddles and throttle brake with the pedals, but not to be, its still not bad
but I cant get the hang of shifting with buttong (how do the reafl F1 racers
have to do it???)  but the PRO is a reall immersive feeling.

any advice? ideas? encouragement?

I bought a Sprint also, as I aslo wanted the paddles for shifting, but
the pedas had to go.  I didnt like the feel of having potentiometers
for shift buttons either.  I went crazy one day and removed the pots
form the paddles, hard wired some buttons that had a good solid click
to 'em to the paddles, and wired up my old T2 pedals to the Wheel.
With these mods, best wheel in the world IMO.  Cheap, good feel, has
everything that I would want in a wheel. Sounds like alot, I know, but
it is really very easy. Dont know if yo want to go that route, but it
worked for me!  Happy Driving!!

build a***pit where you can sit down with your feet in front of you, etc.
it's pretty easy mine took less than two hours and a sheet of plywood. it
sits next to my desk and when i get ready to race i move the monitor from
the desktop to a shelf above my feet. in fact i'm sitting in it now because
it's more comfy than my chair. two side pieces, a seatback, a seatbottom, a
wheel shelf, a monitor shelf, and a toebox piece. it's about 5 feet long 2
feet high and 18 inches wide. keep the pro wheel if you can't afford a tsw
or hyper. modify the pedals. for more info e:mail me
