I obtained track conversion files for C***te to Texas and Talladega
to Daytona. These files did not include the PCX files for the tracks or
the events. I have found suitable image files for these tracks and
events and have resized them accordingly. I have also converted them to
.PCX format. They end up appearing at the right place in the game, yet
the colors are all messed up. I used a combination of MS Paint Polyview
to convert these images to the format that I THOUGHT would work.

Can anybody tell me what I may be doing wrong or if there is a program
around that will convert these images into the format needed for N2.

Try using the N2 pallette.  The whole game uses a very limited number
of colors, but amazingly they were used so good we cant tell.  If you
look at any picture from within the game down to the individual pixel,
most of the colors you would see are in the paintkit.  Try that, it
SHOULD work.
