Best value = Thrustmaster grand Prix wheel or T2 wheel and pedals.
Best quality = Either the F1 Sim from Digital Edge or the TSW.
Best Playability = ?

This past weekend, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Mr.Alan Smith,
Product Marketing Manager Dude, of Thrustmaster while at the Long Beach Grand
Prix. We talked long about sims, controllers and the market. He couldn't say
too much, but my advice to you is to wait a bit longer if you can. This summer,
about the same time GPL hits the shelves, TM should have released their new
line of Racing Controllers, and I think we may be in for a pleasant surprise.
We'll have to wait and see, but I was very encouraged by what I heard, about
both  features and pricing.  However...If I had to go out and purchase a wheel
today, I'd pick up another Thrustmaster GP1. I already have 2 of them, and for
the time I spend driving, the features it has and the price of the GP1, I just
cannot justify spending any more than that right now. ( My local EB sells it
for $ 49.00 US ).

The Thrustmaster Nascar Pro wheel is really nice.  Pedals and Wheel have
a nice feel.  Much improvement over the T2 series.

I have a Nascar also, but Im experienceing sluggishness (compared to a
microsoft3d joystick) and some chop...using sb card only.

Do you have this problem or do you use a seperate card?

Are there or will there be any pedal units that have a clutch pedal built
in?  Using the 3rd button for the clutch on my GP1 is impossible.

Rob, the TSW and TSW 2 will very soon have a clutch pedal, we were just
waiting for a sim that would use it in an intelligent manner.

You can buy an F1 Sim which is available with a clutch pedal.

Or try.... www.racecar.co.uk/interactive_racing

Wheel and pedals approx 150.00 UK, extra clutch pedal approx 60.00
UK.

Hi Russ,

Of course it will :) everything we do as a new accessory will fit the
new TSW 2 and also older TSWs, this is one reason why they are the best
systems money can buy<g>. Wait til you see a clutch equipped Formula
model with a Momo wheel and Momo pedal pads, talk about ultimate realism
:)!
