Dubai : Ask a stupid question.

I probably know the logical answer to this myself but here goes anyway. I
d/l the track and was suprised to see that the road surface has not been
laid yet. Is this track still waiting for planning permission before asphalt
is laid ? <G> When I attempt to drive here, all I see are acres of sand and
some palm trees. The AI don't seem to mind this but I'm having to do a Mark
Thatcher in my attempts to navigate in the dessert.

I figured that there must have been some corruption on the D/L so I tried a
second time only for the same result. Has anyone else experienced this
Paris - Dakar experience or am I in real trouble here? Any ideas would be
appreciated.

Had the same problem until I turned up the detail slider . Bingo, instant
pavement. Was definitely strange until then, kept looking for a compass!

You have to set trackside objects to "all". For some reason the track
surface is treated as an object...
