there are so many messeges that get posted here everyday so i'm not sure if
the 3d enhacements from the people at the simproject has gotten the
recognition that it deserves.
they have "made" 3d enhancements for the tracks that papy didn't do in the
release of the rendition enhanced version of ic2 or cart racing. anyone that
has a rendition board should pick up these enhancements. most noteably, the
enhacements add sky to the tracks, but there are new textures for most
everything in the tracks.  Clevland is especially nice in the horizon/sky
area.
the setup is pretty much automated, so go pick it up, but be sure to read
the readme file.

i think the people that put that artwork together should contact papy about
a job.  the game looks and plays much better than cpr even though cpr was a
valient effort imo. the enhancements give some new life to an aging game and
will keep me playing icr2 until papy releases icr3.

thanks marc and the guys at the simproject.

Thanks, Tim!  Putting the 3D track packages and the installer together
was a lot of work, but a lot of fun, too.  I know it was a lot *more*
work for the artists!  I'm glad some people are enjoying these
great-looking track enhancements.

With these track enhancements and other free user-developed tweaks like
the sound patch and updated carsets, the Rendition version of ICR2/CART
is still one of the best racing sims ever published, IMHO.  The
user-enhanced ICR2 is keeping me happy till the release of the next
Papyrus CART sim, too!

I only wish I had a Rendition card.  Maybe they could port it to 3dfx :-)
