Where the heck has this game been? This game is one heck of an
impressive piece of programming. I mean I've never seen a game where you
can actually still race and have full access to all the options menus
all at the same time!!!!!  Physics are very good. Outstanding full
featured configurability in gfx, sound and control. As best as I can
guess, car handling seems about as accurate as one could do in a PC game.

Any word on whether they will have rally courses landscape based instead
of only racetrack like? Unfortunately all I see in the screenshots are
race course type tracks. Please let them make some through the desert
and mountain country courses.

All I gotta say is wow, my hats off to these guys.

Yup.. I fired up the latest patch last night actually!! I hyaven't played it
in a damn long time, but had some really nice racing with 3 or 4 people
online. I had to work on my car setup, and it seems the grip levels or
somethign has changed since I've played it last.. When the game first came
out I was getting 1:34's now I was geting 1:44's at first! But I got that
down to a 1:40 by the end of the night...

Well, stifle the numbats and call me Grytpipe - isn't this a little
beauty?!!
It's now resting comfortably on my hard-drive.
The AI is pretty ***y good, too.
I hope that the future bodes well for the progression of this sim - it
certainly deserves it.
I wonder if the developers will reproduce some likenesses of genuine tracks
as time passes?

Bruce.

We'll see - they have an interesting multi-part roll-out planned.  Along
with NetKar, this is one of the most interesting things to pop up recently.
Did you notice the screenie of the stealthy black WIP F3000 car in the LFS
section at BHMS?

The AI are particularly interesting in how they "learn" to drive and race
against you, and the multiplayer collision code is quite good from my
experience.  You can rub doors without fear, unlike Papy's jittery multi.,
though I suspect the bandwidth requirement's much higher.
