Indycar Menus Broken

I'm having trouble with my Indycar menus: the normally yellow
selected option is now white, the arrow keys don't move the
selection, and I get put into whatever track I was driving on last,
without getting to make a selection. The trouble seemed to start when
I installed the circuits expansion pack, but reinstalling the whole
thing from scratch into a new directory didn't seem to help.

I've tried running from a clean boot (no drivers or TSRs loaded) and
disabling my SB16 card. Neither seems to have an effect.

I'm running msdos 6.22 on a 486DX/2 50, AMI BIOS, HiNT chipset, 8M RAM,
256K cache. (NASCAR works fine with the same setup).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
